In the UCI protocol exists something similar, but you don't get told the rating of your own engine in that pool. But in iCE I don't process that command, I just let it play the board.

<id> = UCI_Opponent, type string

With this command the GUI can send the name, title, elo and if the engine is playing a human or computer to the engine. The format of the string has to be [GM|IM|FM|WGM|WIM|none] [<elo>|none] [computer|human] <name>
Example:
“setoption name UCI_Opponent value GM 2800 human XXX”
“setoption name UCI_Opponent value none none computer Demo_engine”
Thomas...

The Winboard command is just:

rating computer_rating opponent_rating

True that.
Hi Ed,

In case you want to run a Swiss with Arena you could try my program ArenaSwiss from http://goneill.co.nz/arenaswiss.php.

I think its main features are that you can have multiple games in each pairing and that it's really easy to interrupt and restart a tournament so that your PC isn't tied up for days on end.

Regards, Graham
Thanks Graham! Arena Swiss is a program that we can use! Thx AR :)
